This talk will review recent work on systems showing regular
and chaotic dynamics, i.e. with a mixed phase space.
Topics are Hamiltonian ratchets and eigenstates partly or fully
ignoring classical phase-space structures. Consequences for
transport properties of nanowires with a one-sided disordered
boundary will be discussed.
