Title: "Quadratic gravitation in n dimensions"
Abstract:
A gravitational Lagrangian which is quadratic in the curvature of the
spacetime metric leads to interesting alternatives of Einstein´s general
relativity theory. In view of the Kaluza-Klein (KK) paradigma we
study this class of purely metrical theories on n-dimensional space-
times, namely Cauchy´s problem, particle content, Einsteinian strength,
scalar field and/or electromagnetism coupled to gravitation according
to the KK principle. The case of 4-dimensional "conformal gravity"
deserves special attention.
