research

The general scope of my research in theoretical condensed matter physics is statistical mechanics, especially static and dynamic properties of disordered (elastic) systems. Here is a list of my
research topics
  • theory of strongly correlated electrons,
  • one dimensional and quasi-one-dimensional systems,
  • classical and quantum phase transitions,
  • disordered systems,
  • dynamics of domain walls (hysteresis), and
  • interacting, low-dimensional Bose systems

for more information about my research see also

supplementary information
  • motion of a domain wall driven by an external AC field

    domain wall motion

  • visual mapping of a vortex system with columnar disorder to a 2D disordered Bose system
