Exercise sheets


The new exercise sheets will be uploaded on monday and you will have until the next monday 12 p.m. to work on them. Please write your name, matriculation number and your group on your solutions and throw them in the box (assigned to your group) on the left hand side of the entrance to the institute for theoretical physics.

  • Group 5 - 2 p.m. at Seminar room 0.03 (new building) - Zhong Chao Wei

  • Apr. 5th - The Klausureinsicht will be on Friday, April 13th, at 11 a.m. in the seminar room 0.03 (in the new building).

  • Apr. 5th - The prelimenary results of the second exam can be found here.

  • Mar. 29th - There is an exemplary solution of exercise 9.3 at the end of the lecture notes (p.91).

  • Mar. 5th - There will be an extra tutorial class for questions concerning the lecture in the week before the second exam. The tutorial class will be held on Wednesday, March 28th, at 10 a.m. in the seminar room 3 in the new building. Please send questions or topics to discuss until Tuesday, March 27th, to cg.

  • Mar. 2nd - There is now a sample solution for the exam.

  • Feb. 26th - The results of the first exam can be found in the showcase on the left of the entrance to the institute of theoretical physics. On Friday, March 2nd, from 11:30 - 12:00 you have the chance to see through your graded exam in the seminar room of theoretical physics.

  • Feb. 26th - The first exam can be found in the section "Exercise sheets". In the next few days there will also be a sample solution for the exam.

  • Feb. 6th - The extra tutorial class will be held on Thursday, Feb 15th, at 10 a.m. in the seminar room 0.03 in the new building. Please send questions and topics that you would like to discuss in advance to cg.

  • Jan. 25th - There will be an extra tutorial class for questions concerning the lecture in the week before the exam. To find a suitable date for this extra tutorial, please take part in the poll. Feel free to send an E-mail to cg with questions or topics you would like to talk about in advance.

  • Dec. 6th - On Friday, Dec. 15th, there will be an extra tutorial class from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the seminar room of the 1. Physikalische Institut where you can ask questions about topics from the lecture course. Feel free to send an E-mail to cg with questions or topics you would like to talk about in advance.

  • Dec. 6th - Literature about Lie Groups can be found below.

  • Nov. 8th - The appointment for the second exam is online. (See above)

  • Oct. 27th - Next Wednesday, November 1st, is a public holiday and there will be no exercise classes. Therefore, there will be an exercise class for all students on Thursday, November 2nd, at 4 p.m. in lecture hall 2

  • Oct. 19th - The appointment for the first exam is online. (See above)

  • Oct. 16th - On Wednesday, 18.10.17, the first exercise class will be held. Please check the current groups for the exercise classes here.

  • Oct. 9th - Use your KLIPS2.0 account to register for the exercise classes, the course number is 14756.2003. The fist exercise class will be held on October 18th.
