We present an introduction to the Standard Model of Particle Physics,
including a discussion of the Higgs Sektor. We next present the basic
set-up of the LHC. I would then like to discuss in some pedagogical detail
an example study of how to look for the Higgs boson at the LHC, in order
to see how such an analysis is performed. We then extend this to
supersymmetry and extra-dimensions.
